A 26-year-old youth was shot dead late on Friday night in Dadri. Another youth, also in his twenties, was also shot in the same area but survived, according to police.

“Deepak’s family said he left home around 11.30 pm, citing some work. Then they never heard from him. His body was found in a field with a bullet wound in his chest. A stole and a picture of a girl were next to him,” a police officer said.

“The other man, Sanjay, was riding his bicycle at around 9 30 pm on Friday when he got into an argument with some people in a Tata Sumo. It was a case of road rage as the person in the Sumo whipped out a pistol and shot him once. However, Sanjay is safe and has recorded his statement to police,” the officer said. FIRs have been registered against unknown persons under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
