In two separate cases of fatal shooting in the city, a group of four men shot dead a 27-year-old youth and injured his friend in West Delhi’s Mundka area on Friday and two bike-borne men shot dead a 20-year-old youth in Mehrauli on Saturday.
Police said preliminary inquiry shows both cases appeared to be triggered off by personal rivalry.
A case of shooting was reported from Mundka’s Neelwal village on Friday around 5 pm when a fight broke out between two groups of youths.
Police said four men began arguing with Deepak and one of the four men, all neighbours, shot him in the head.
Deepak died on the spot, police said. They also injured Deepak’s neighbour Manveer. He was later taken to hospital.
In the second incident, two bike-borne men shot 20-year-old Sagar at point-blank range near Amba Complex in Mehrauli on Saturday evening.
Police said Sagar was riding pillion on a friend’s two-wheeler when he got into an argument with two others on another bike. The fighting worsened and the assailants shot Sagar dead.
