Two men were injured in a drunken brawl reported from Chawala,Southwest Delhi,around 12 am on Saturday.
The police said Dinesh Kumar and Suresh Singh,both in an inebriated condition,were having dinner at a dhaba when they had a heated argument with a youth sitting on an adjacent table.
The youth,who was also drunk,called his two accomplices and they arrived at the dhaba with pistols, a senior officer said. One of the accomplices fired in the air and then at the victims. He missed but splinters from the bullets hit them after bouncing off the ground. The accused then fled on their motorcycles.
The injured were taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where their condition is stated to be stable. The police said they have identified the three accused but refused to share details. A case of attempted murder has been registered against them.
