Police have arrested two men accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in Sardarjung Enclave,South Delhi.

Police have arrested two men accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in Sardarjung Enclave,South Delhi. Police said Narender and Rohit were arrested on Wednesday after teams were formed to nab three men who were absconding since the incident.

Police said on Tuesday night,Rohit,who the victim claimed was a friend,had asked her to accompany him on a drive. Police said the two were later joined by Rohit’s friends,Narender and Tinku.

The three took the girl to the parking area of the Dussehra grounds in Pilanji village and offered her a drink laced with sedatives,police said. The victim had alleged that she was raped by two of the men in the car,while the third stood guard outside. She was dumped near her house,police said.

Police said since the victim knew one of the accused tracing the men became easier. “We had Rohit’s address. Our team questioned his family members and neighbours and with their help traced the identity of the other two. We are on the lookout for Tinku,”an officer said.

13-yr-old alleges molestation at gunpoint

New Delhi: A 13-year-old class VI student has alleged molestation by a man at gunpoint. The incident was reported on Thursday after her parents complained to police. Police said the accused is the husband of the principal of a school where the girl is studying. Police said on Wednesday morning,the girl refused to go to school. When her parents questioned her,she told them that during school hours,the man had taken her to his house and molested her. The girl also told police that the man had threatened to kill her father if she reported the matter to anyone. “We recorded the girl’s statement in the presence of an NGO official. We will arrest the man after completing our enquiry,” an officer said.
