Truck collides with bus in Noida,leaves 15 injured

Fifteen persons were injured after a truck collided with a bus in Noida Sector 21 on Thursday night.

Fifteen persons were injured after a truck collided with a bus in Noida Sector 21 on Thursday night.

A car and a tempo also collided into the truck later,senior officers said.

Police said those injured were taken to Prakash Hospital. Many had suffered multiple injuries on their faces and hands,but all were in stable condition and would be discharged within the next two days.

A senior police officer said: “The accident took place between a bus carrying 30 employees of a private company in Noida Phase 2,which was transporting them home,and a speeding truck. The truck,which was coming from Sector 16,was allegedly taking a turn at the Sector 21 crossing,when it rammed the bus. A car and a tempo also collided with the truck,and its occupants suffered minor injuries. All 15 injured were all taken to Prakash Hospital and have been declared out of danger.”

Police said a case has been registered against the driver of the truck,who is on the run.

“A complaint was filed by one of the employees on the bus,and a case has been registered. Further investigations are underway,” a senior police officer said.
