Traffic restrictions ahead of IPL match

To avoid traffic congestion as Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings battle it out during the IPL T20 match,to be played at Ferozshah Kotla stadium on Tuesday,the Delhi Traffic Police has put in place elaborate measures.

To avoid traffic congestion as Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings battle it out during the IPL T20 match,to be played at Ferozshah Kotla stadium on Tuesday,the Delhi Traffic Police has put in place elaborate measures.

Parking of vehicles will not be allowed on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (both carriageways). Limited parking space,for labeled vehicles only,will be provided near the stadium.

A park-and-ride facility,however,is available from Mata Sundari and Shanti Van parking lots.

Joint CP (Traffic) Satyendra Garg said,“Public can either take the shuttle service from the parking lots or walk to the stadium.”

No diversions have been planned for BSZ Marg or JLN Marg. Police have advised that people should avoid Rajghat to JLN Marg,JLN Marg between Kamla Market and Rajghat,Asaf Ali Road between Turkman Gate and Delhi Gate,and BSZ Marg between Ram Charan Agarwal Chowk and Delhi Gate — between 6 pm and 12.30 am.
