SP MLA,supporters clash with police over tinted film

A ruling SP MLA and his supporters allegedly clashed with the police on Friday after traffic police objected to his moving in a car with tinted windows.

A ruling SP MLA and his supporters allegedly clashed with the police on Friday after traffic police objected to his moving in a car with tinted windows. Haji Irfan Solanki,MLA from Sisamau in Kanpur,was stopped by police here when he was on his way to Delhi from Kanpur,ACP (Traffic) Atma Ram said.

Solanki told police he was an MLA,but they insisted on removing the black film from the car’s windows,Ram said.

Angry with the police action,the MLA and his supporters clashed with the police,he said. Solanki had to pay Rs 2,000 as fine,the ACP said.
