Delhi Metro: Slower services for some routes on Sunday

Trains from Escorts Mujesar to ITO-Mandi House stations will be diverted to Line 6 between Badarpur and Mohan Estate.

Metro services will be slow between Badarpur Border and Mohan Estate stations on the Violet line for four hours on Sunday afternoon for maintenance work, the Delhi Metro said. The Metro issued an advisory on Saturday, alerting commuters that trains on Line 6, from ITO to Escorts Mujesar will operate on a single line between Badarpur Border and Mohan Estate stations between 12 pm and 4 pm on Sunday.

“This is to facilitate the scheduled track maintenance work on Up Line. This time was chosen since the traffic on a Sunday afternoon is comparatively less,” a DMRC spokesperson said.

Trains from Escorts Mujesar to ITO-Mandi House stations will be diverted to Line 6 between Badarpur and Mohan Estate. The frequency of trains from ITO to Mandi House will be at a gap of 14.50 minutes, those from Mandi House and Central Secretariat at 7.03 minutes, from Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar at 4.50 minutes, and from Sarita Vihar to Escorts Mujesar at 11.30 minutes.
