After playing the girl-next-door in Mausam,Sonam Kapoor sports a grunge look in the upcoming film Players,a remake of The Italian Job. In her first film with director duo Abbas-Mustan,the actor does a bold act by showing the middle finger while the promos catch her doing a hip shake.
Is the grunge look in Players a new addition to your style statement?
I have always liked this look. But I did not want to try it for just any movie. However, when Abbas-Mustan came to me with this film,I chose to go for it. Mainly because they have the ability to make their heroines look hot,not vulgar.
Abhishek Bachchan and you pair up yet again after Delhi-6. You always call him your favourite co-star. What do you like about him?
He is a gentleman. He is not trying to be superior to his co-stars and is very co-operative. He speaks to everybody on the set and never talks down to anyone. He is genuine as a person, which is such a rare trait in the world.
Your last release Mausam was a colossal flop. Disappointed with the results?
No. I was praised a lot for the film. For me thats more important than what worked in the film and what didnt. Moreover,I got the chance of working with a genius called Pankaj Kapur.
There are rumours about you being a part of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Is it true?
I have a special appearance in the film. Thats about it.
What is your style mantra for the New Year?
Bling. Just wear shiny things.
