Rohini Court: One killed in firing in court complex

The gunman was overpowered and arrested by Delhi Police. The weapon used in the murder has also been recovered.

An undertrial was killed on Monday when an armed assailant fired at him inside Rohini Court Complex. The gunman was overpowered and arrested by Delhi Police. The murder weapon has also been recovered.

The incident, which happened near the court canteen, had triggered chaos inside the complex.

The victim, identified as Vinod alias Balle, was shot by the accused at 11.20 am when he was being taken back to jail.

He was rushed to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital and was declared brought dead. This is the second such incident near the court complex. In April, a 38-year-old undertrial was shot dead there.
