The Revenue Department of the Delhi government has initiated the process of issuance of Central OBC certificates to those belonging to the Jat community residing in Delhi.

The reservation for jobs under the Central government for members of the Jat community was recently notified by the Government of India.
“The Department is developing the system of issuance of these certificates through a computerised mechanism,” Dharampal, principal secretary (Revenue), said.

Dharampal said the department has also notified the order of compulsory registration of marriages in Delhi.  The SDM in each district has been declared the marriage registration officer for marriages registered under his/her jurisdictional area. The Revenue department is also developing a system for issuing marriage registration certificates through a computerised platform.

“The generation of Record of Rights (RORs) and the mutation of land records through the Indraprastha Bhulekh software have been started. Initially, this is being done for villages of the Kapashera and Najafgarh division. Henceforth, the computerised RORs will be issued to public for these sub-divisions and the mutation of any land in these sub-divisions will be recorded in the software,” Dharampal said.
