Former Delhi High Court judge, Justice Reva Khetrapal, took oath as Delhi’s new Lokayukta at Raj Niwas Thursday. Her tenure will be for five years.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta, high court judges, Delhi cabinet ministers, senior judicial officers and senior bureaucrats were present at the oath taking ceremony.
A four-member panel had in October chosen Khetrapal’s name for the post of Lokayukta.
The post of the anti-corruption ombudsman was vacant since November 2013, when retired Justice Manmohan Sarin relinquished office.
