Punjab cop shoots at youth,held

The victim,Arun Kumar,suffered two bullet injuries and is critical.

A Punjab Police Superintendent of Police,posted at the Punjab Bhavan as chief security officer,was arrested for allegedly opening fire at a 22-year-old man in Northwest Delhi’s Keshavpuram area Friday night. Police said the accused,Narender Singh,was in an inebriated state and that he opened fire after he asked directions to his own house. The victim,Arun Kumar,suffered two bullet injuries and is critical. “Narender assumed he was given wrong directions,” an officer said.
