The standoff between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Delhi Police took another turn on Tuesday after party members alleged that a police vehicle tried to run over Delhi unit convener Dilip Pandey. They claimed that a volunteer pushed Pandey out of the way in time.

AAP youth wing spokesperson Vikas Yogi said, “After our protest in the morning, some volunteers had been detained at the Rajinder Nagar police station. Dilip Pandey had gone there a little after 10 pm and while he was speaking to the media outside the police station, a police van tried to run him over. As the van drew close, a volunteer pushed Pandey out of the way.”
