Four persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing several two-wheelers from various parts of Gurgaon. Police said they recovered around 65 two-wheelers from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Amit,Vicky,Ashish and Pradeep – all in their twenties.
Police said the four accused had been stealing vehicles for the past seven months.
We arrested them after a tip-off. We will produce them in court and seek remand. This is probably the biggest recovery of stolen vehicles from any gang in the state. They were kept in an open godown, said DCP (East) Maheshwar Dayal.
Police said they have not able to figure out how they sold stolen two-wheelers and who else was involved the racket.
Police said they were probing why the gang did not sell the 65 vehicles and their modus operandi.
