One held for attack on DPS guard,father-son missing

Police have arrested a man in connection with a recent incident,where a Class XI student and his relatives allegedly assaulted a security guard of the Delhi Public School,Sushant Lok,on Monday.

Police have arrested a man in connection with a recent incident,where a Class XI student and his relatives allegedly assaulted a security guard of the Delhi Public School (DPS),Sushant Lok,on Monday.

The incident had occurred after the guard tried to prevent the student from parking his car in a no-parking zone near the school gate.

Identifying the arrested person as Praveen alias Sanjay,a resident of Gurgaon,police said they are still searching for the student and his father. Praveen was arrested while he was travelling towards Delhi.

Acting on a tip-off,police arrested Praveen at the Sirhaul (Delhi border) toll plaza on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. “The accused used to handle the main accused’s family business. He was the one who hit the guard with a baseball bat,causing serious injuries,” said Sector-29 Station House Officer Jagdish Prasad.

The student,who was admitted to the school five years ago,has already been called to collect his transfer certificate.

The police have lodged an FIR against the father-son duo,who reside in Sector-18.
