Non-bailable warrant issued against Pratibhanand

A city court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Swami Pratibhanand,who police claimed was one of the chief conspirators in the murder of Deepak Bhardwaj.

A city court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Swami Pratibhanand,who police claimed was one of the chief conspirators in the murder of Deepak Bhardwaj.

Police on Friday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information on Swami Pratibhanand who is on the run.

Police said Pratibhanand was instrumental in hiring the alleged shooters — Purushottam Rana and Sunil Mann.

Police have conducted searches in Nasik,Mumbai and Ahmednagar in Maharashtra to arrest Pratibhanand.

The prosecutor told Metropolitan Magistrate Prashant Sharma that more searches will be conducted in Solan,Himachal Pradesh,and Rishikesh,Uttarakhand,to arrest the spiritual guru.

On Friday,the court also remanded the two alleged shooters and co-accused Amit,the driver of the Skoda Laura,to three more days in police custody after the prosecution stated that their custody was necessary for tracing Pratibhanand.

The prosecutor also told the court that these three accused had helped police recover the weapons used in the crime from a canal.

The court also granted three-day police custody of another co-accused Pradeep,who was arrested for supplying firearms to Rana and Mann.
