No skirts,shorts: DU advises students before tour

The set of instructions sent to students taking the trip also mentioned what they should wear during the journey

As Delhi University rolled out another Gyanodaya Express,“an education train journey”,on Monday morning,the set of instructions sent to students taking the trip also mentioned what they should wear during the journey.

“Students are to strictly adhere to the dress code i.e. girls are not to wear skirts,shorts or spaghetti tops and boys are also not to wear shorts and sleeveless t-shirts,” the Code of Conduct read.

According to Delhi University officials,this measure was primarily for the students’ safety. “The students will be visiting different parts of the country. The code of conduct has been drawn to avoid any untoward incidents,” a university official said.
