The body of a newborn boy, partly consumed by animals, was discovered in a vacant plot in Gurgaon’s Kanhai village on Wednesday, police said.

Om Prakash, who drives a school bus, spotted a dog with the infant’s body in its mouth, police said. He snatched the body and informed police.

Dr Deepak Mathur, who conducted the autopsy, said the infant appeared to be stillborn.

“The stillborn appears to have been abandoned soon after delivery,” Mathur said. ENS
