A 24-year-old Mongolian woman was allegedly molested by a Customs superintendent posted at a post office in Central Delhi’s IP Estate. The accused is on the run, police said.

The woman, a management student who lives in Vasant Vihar, alleged she had been to the post office to enquire about two parcels.

“She was accompanied by a friend. The woman wanted to enquire about two parcels she sent home, both of which had not reached her parents. She alleged the Customs superintendent on duty asked her to wait and told her friend to leave,” police said.

The woman alleged the superintendent held her hand and tried to grope her. She then raised the alarm, police said.

The woman alleged the superintendent fled. “She then made a PCR call and went to the IP Estate police station to lodge a complaint.

We have registered a case of molestation against the accused and teams are out to arrest him,” an officer said.
