Modern School students win IT quiz competition

Dhanuka and Chandra beat over 1,200 students from various schools of the capital in the quiz.

Naman Dhanuka and Apratim Chandra Singh of Modern Public School,Barakhamba Road,emerged winners in the regional final of the Delhi zone of the TCS IT Wiz quiz event,an inter-school IT quiz organised by software company Tata Consultancy Services every year. Dhanuka and Chandra beat over 1,200 students from various schools of the capital in the quiz held at the Indian Institute of Technology,New Delhi on Saturday. The two will now participate in the national final in Mumbai in December,where they will compete against winners of the other regional rounds for the title of ‘Smart Tech Wizards 2013’. For their winning performance,Dhanuka and Chandra each won an iPad 2. The runners-up,Abhijay Gupta and Samarth Wahal of Delhi Public School,Noida,won a Galaxy Tablet each. This year,the popular quiz show was held in 14 Indian cities and UAE. Winners will compete in the final in Mumbai.
