The three municipal corporations, North, South and East, have announced modules for online sanction of building plans and completion/occupancy certificate under the single window clearance system (SWCS).
South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya said the modules are in line with the initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He also said the modules are in co-operation with the World Bank, based on the concept of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and ‘Make in India’ to improve the country’s ranking in the world.
Arya also said that the South municipal corporation is the first civic body in the country to start such a programme.
“Currently, more than 90 per cent building plans are sanctioned online and within the time limit of one month. Now, on the initiative taken by Prime Minister Modi, the corporation has further revised the time-frame for sanction to 15 days,” Arya said.
According to the new module, building plans with respect to residential buildings (fresh construction) will be sanctioned in 15 days after a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) is given.
In case of building plans with respect to industrial plots (fresh construction), the corporations have set a time-frame of 30 days, subject to NOCs from concerned departments.
Commercial buildings and warehouses will be able to get their plans sanctioned in 60 days, officials said.
Sources said a Common Application Form (CAF) has been devised.
This form has the facility of applying for sanction of building plans and simultaneous application for obtaining requisite NOC/clearance from the concerned department (wherever necessary).
This can be viewed on the website of the civic bodies —www.mcdonline.gov.in.
The South Corporation mayor also added that joint inspection for expeditious approval of building plans will be conducted by the concerned officers of all departments (depending upon requirement of the case).
Further, the public can also register their grievances and suggestions on the said website for necessary consideration regarding modifications in the respective module.
