The Dublin bar at ITC Maurya was booked by Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday to celebrate their victory over Delhi Daredevils during the ongoing IPL T20 series, police said on Sunday.

Though officials at ITC Maurya claimed that the bar closes by 2 am,CCTV footage reveals that the RCB party continued till early Friday morning.

“The CCTV footage from the camera outside the Dublin bar shows Luke Pomersbach and others leaving the bar at 5 in the morning. At 5.11 am,they are seen in the corridor proceeding towards room number 1640,with Luke carrying a beer bottle in his hand,” said a police officer.

The CCTV footage accessed by The Sunday Express showed Zohal Hamid,Sahil Peerzada,Luke and Sahil’s friend Moiz entering the hotel corridor on the 16th floor at 5.11 am,with beer bottles in their hand.

ITC Maurya officials said Dublin provides party packages as per the customer’s requirement, but there is no such package that allows the party to go on through the night.

“The bar is supposed to shutdown by midnight. Some guests stay on to finish the food and drinks they ordered before the closing time, but the place is strictly vacated by 2 am,” an official said. The official said two floor managers with bouncers inside the bar premises ensure there is no mishap.

The hotel authorities refused to comment on the police claim that the RCB party continued till 5 am.

“We have been cooperating with the authorities. Since the matter is under investigation,it will be improper to comment at the moment,” said a spokesperson of the ITC group.
