Forty-three people have been arrested and cash worth more than Rs 22 lakh was seized from an illegal casino that was busted in Gurgaon on Wednesday night, police said. Police said they received a tip-off that a a casino was running at South City-I in K Block.

“Upon raiding the house, we found illegal gambling taking place in room numbers 302, 303 and another one that was not numbered,” said Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon Police.

According to police, 43 people, including four women, were arrested from the establishment. Those arrested include the owner of the casino and the man handling operations. “A country-made pistol with four live cartridges, 48 beer bottles, a money counting machine, 210 tokens, three laptops and a roulette table have been seized,” said Kumar.
