Gurgaon: 33-year-old woman found with throat slit

The body a 33-year-old woman with her throat slit was found in Gurgaon’s Sohna area Saturday afternoon, said police. The body was found in the jungles near Silani village by a local, who informed the village sarpanch.

The victim has been identified as Geeta, a resident of Palwal, said police, adding that her body has been sent for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at Sohna police station. Police said they did not find any weapons or leads from the spot.

“There were no visible signs of sexual assault, but this can only be confirmed after the post-mortem has been conducted. The victim’s clothes were intact, only her throat had been slit,” said sub-inspector Tara Chand.
