The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a plea by two of the accused in the December 16 gangrape case to quash the FIR and subsequent proceedings against them.

Justice Pratibha Rani upheld the order of the special fast-track court, which had rejected Mukesh and Akshay Singh’s plea.

In their petition, the accused had said police had manipulated the FIR as the original complaint didn’t have the names of the accused persons. It also stated that the accused had not been supplied with a ‘proper’ copy of the chargesheet.

The High Court however dismissed the plea and asked the accused to take up the issues in the trial court itself.
