DTC to launch drive to ensure safe driving

The Delhi Transport Corporation will launch a special checking drive to ensure safe driving practices,observance of traffic rules,crew behaviour,etc.

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will launch a special checking drive to ensure safe driving practices,observance of traffic rules,crew behaviour,etc. This drive will start on Thursday and end on February 29.

“The drive will check on drivers not stopping at scheduled bus stops,rash driving,speeding,over-taking,etc. The nodal officers for each area has been identified and these officers will conduct the checking in designated locations. The officers are authorised to change their points as per requirement but it should be in the same vicinity/area and the information in this regard must be conveyed to Central Control Room,’’ said a DTC official. The irregularities detected by the officers will be conveyed to the unit as well as the nodal officer concerned.
