Education Minister Manish Sisodia Saturday directed the education department to ask two branches of DPS schools, Mathura Road and Rohini, to immediately stop hiking fees.

In an order to school authorities, the Directorate of Education (DoE) said the schools “had not obeyed the order of the Delhi High Court and the DoE”. The order particularly pulls up DPS Mathura Road for hiking fees when it is yet to refund excess fees to parents, as per the recommendations of the 7th interim report of the Anil Dev Committee.

While DPS Mathura Road hiked its fee by 15 to 20 per cent, DPS Rohini hiked it by 13-20 per cent, said the order.
