A 24-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in northeast Delhi’s Khajoori Khas area. According to police, the woman had told her brother that she was upset at not being able to exchange currency. However, police did not confirm if the suicide had any link to the ongoing currency crisis.

DCP (northeast) A K Singla said, “The woman committed suicide on Sunday but there is no suicide note. Though she had said she was upset that she could not get money exchanged, it is not sure that she committed suicide because of this reason. We are continuing investigation.”
