Singh said after the mother of the accused filed a complaint at the police station, officers have not been able to locate her.
Sub-Inspectors Manoj Dahiya and Sandeep and constable Kavyendra — the personnel who were roughed up — are posted at the Punjabi Bagh police station. DCP (West) Ranvir Singh said a police team from Punjabi Bagh had gone to Pataudi to conduct a raid in an attempt to murder case.
“Our men were manhandled there and the raid could not be conducted. The personnel have sustained some injuries. We filed a complaint with the local police there and they have already registered an FIR,” he said.
According to Satyaveer Singh, the incident took place around 6.20 am, when the three took an accused on a one-day remand to Pataudi village to help identify and locate another accused in connection with cases of attempt to murder”
“When the police officers entered a house in the village, the women in the house stopped them,” Singh said. “They were then manhandled by locals who also bound them. The sarpanch then called me and brought them to the station, where a case was registered,” Singh said.
