Two arrested for ‘setting vehicles afire’ in North West Delhi’s Rani Bagh area

The accused was identified as 19-year-old Bhola and Langra and the duo were involved in 11 and four cases of burglary respectively.

Delhi Police arrested two people and apprehended a juvenile who set vehicles on fire to divert the attention of the public and carry out a burglary in North West Delhi’s Rani Bagh area. Police said the incident took place on the intervening night of February 8 and 9 when they set three vehicles on fire.

The accused was identified as 19-year-old Bhola and Langra and the duo were involved in 11 and four cases of burglary respectively.

Police have registered a case in Ranibagh Police station and scanned the CCTV footage from the area. “We questioned three suspects and they said they set the vehicles on fire to divert the attention of police and public as they were planning to commit burglary in the area,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police North West Vijay Singh.
