A 25-year-old mother of five children was allegedly gangraped by three persons in northwest Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area, police said Sunday.

The crime occurred Tuesday and came to fore on Friday after the woman lodged a complaint with police. She alleged that one Noor Alam raped her on the pretext of getting her a job.

Later, in her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC, she alleged that two more persons had also raped her, said a senior police officer.

The complainant alleged that Alam had called her near Mukundpur and taken her to Bhalswa Dairy, where he raped her after offering her a drink laced with a sedative. She alleged that Noor was accompanied by two persons.

Milind Dumbere, DCP (northwest), said Alam had been arrested and efforts were on to nab the other accused.
