Delhi Cop beaten up by biker, his associates

The Delhi Police called the transfers “routine” and claimed that they had nothing to do with the incident.

A head constable, posted with the Assistant Commissioner of Police’s office at Dabri police station in southwest Delhi, was allegedly beaten up after he accidentally hit a motorcyclist, who called his associates. A case was registered on Wednesday, but no arrest has been made so far.

Following the incident, several police personnel were transferred from Dabri police station to district lines and other police stations. The Delhi Police top brass, however, called the transfers “routine” and claimed that they had nothing to do with the incident.

DCP (southwest district) Surendra Kumar said they have registered an FIR. The complainant, Sanjeev Kumar, said he was returning home when the incident took place.
