A week ago, the Modi government had sought public opinion on utilisation of public funds on government advertisements. Leaders had called it a sign of changing times.

Taking a cue from that move, the Delhi BJP has decided to increase public participation in governance. Anticipating fresh polls in the capital, the party has started a survey to know the voter’s mind.

On the lines of AAP’s  mohalla sabhas, the Delhi BJP too has distributed a questionnaire, comprising seven questions, among its polling booth workers. According to senior leaders, the questions will help the party know the pulse of voters. Based on the results, the Delhi unit will finalise its manifesto in case of fresh polls.

“This questionnaire is an attempt to know the pulse of voters at the grassroot level. Our booth workers are the real soldiers who come in contact with the voters. Their feedback will serve as the guidebook to see what is ailing Delhi,” Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said.

The questions in the survey are: Whether your family is staying in Delhi for more than five years; What are the main problems in the capital that people are facing; What has previous governments done to solve these problems; In your colony or wards, what are the problems that the Delhi government should have dealt with; Cite the problems that MCDs have paid attention to; According to you, what should be new government’s five priorities; and last, what solution do you suggest for the problems cited by you.

They do not need surveys. They need to fix the problems. Time the celebrations ended and the work began in earnest.

We have submitted a survey result with 80000 signatures asking for Smriti Irani's resignation and if she refuses to resign then her dismissal - It is unbecoming of a cabinet minister to lie in affidavits. How can Modi Govt have a liar in his cabinet? What is happening on that survey result? Nothing? Then clearly this looks like drama to ask for public partition just to get ahead in embly polls.???
