IN A bid to avoid disruption of flight services, the Delhi airport authority has installed 18 Runway Visibility Range (RVR) equipment at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Hundreds of flights were delayed and many cancelled after dense fog hit the capital last week.

“Due to good coordination among all stakeholders, the number of diversions due to fog had came down to 44 last winter as opposed to 144 in 2014-15. We are fully prepared to handle operations this year,” said DIAL CEO I Prabhakara Rao.
