Delhi: 4 held for theft of cameras

On March 24, constables Rajeev and Vinod received a tip-off that some of the stolen goods were delivered to Bhiwani, Haryana.

Four persons have been arrested in connection with the theft of 60 expensive cameras, lenses and laptops from a shop in southeast Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area. Police have recovered two cameras and 25 laptops from the three accused.

Police said they received a complaint about the theft on March 6. A team was formed under the supervision of ACP Satish Kain to look into video footage from the CCTV camera outside the shop. On March 24, constables Rajeev and Vinod received a tip-off that some of the stolen goods were delivered to Bhiwani, Haryana.

“The team raided a house-cum-shop run by one Sanjay and arrested him. They also recovered the stolen laptops,” said an officer. Sanjay told police that he got the stolen items from the three accused at a lower rate. “They were then arrested from the capital,” added the officer.
