Police officers investigating the death of tattoo artist Paras Bhasin have begun questioning drivers of trains which passed Ganesh Nagar between 4.20 pm and 4.30 pm on September 1,the day Bhasin’s body was found.

With details of the case getting murkier by the day, police are working on several theories including suicide.

DCP (Crime & Railways) Sanjay Jain said: “We have questioned one of the train drivers and have recorded his statement. We will also question other drivers who took that route last Saturday. I cannot reveal the contents of the post-mortem report. The case is under investigation.”

Police sources said the autopsy report indicated that the injuries may have been caused by a blunt object used with force. Officers, however, said prima facie it appeared to be a case of suicide.

Police had registered a case of murder but the case took a new turn when Paras’s wife produced a suicide note allegedly written by the couple in August. “It will not be proper to make any statement about the letter. It has been sent to the FSL to verify the handwriting,” Jain said.
