The mother of the two-year-old girl admitted at AIIMS Trauma Centre with serious injuries met the child on Wednesday. Doctors said Munni spent nearly 15 minutes with the child inside the ICU.

“Nobody was allowed to enter with her. She came out of the ICU after a while and went back to the shelter. She did not speak to anybody after coming out,” said Deepak Agarwal, the neurosurgeon treating the child.

The child’s condition remains critical. A fourth surgery was performed on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Child Welfare Committee has ordered that Munni be given the custody of her five-year-old son,who was rescued recently from Uttam Nagar. The order noted that there is no documentary proof that Munni is the mother of the boy,or that the woman is Munni. She had been given interim custody of the boy only due to the age and opinion of the child,it added.
