A couple married four days ago was found dead in their home in Alpha I area of Greater Noida Monday afternoon, said police. The bodies of 25-year-old Chetan Saini, a grocery store owner, and 22-year-old Kiran Saini were found in the bathroom, added the police.

Police said a gas leak from a geyser could have caused the deaths. “The bodies have been sent for an autopsy. The exact cause of death will be known Tuesday once the report comes. Prima facie it seems there was leakage from a geyser which had been installed recently,” said an officer.

“Their parents live downstairs. At about 2 pm, when the two did not wake up, the parents got worried. They went upstairs with some neighbours and found them dead,” added the officer.
