In their first meeting after the Delhi Assembly election schedule was announced,Congress leaders played the development card to woo voters.

Sheila Dikshit on Saturday said,“The reason why Delhi has got most migrants because it provides them opportunity and a better living standard. The development we have done in the last 15 years needs no proof or certificate,” she added.

Bharatiya Janata Party had to face embarrassment as Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari did not turn up for the joint press conference held on Saturday.

Tiwari joined BJP last week and the party had planned to play its Poorvanchal card by promising tickets and better accommodation facilities in presence of the Poorvanchali icon. BJP Delhi chief Vijay Goel said: “If voted to power,BJP will build houses and hostels for them.”
