CJM wife death: SIT recovers fourth bullet from crime scene

The Special Investigating Team probing the death of Geetanjali Garg,the wife of Gurgaon’s Chief Judicial Magistrate,has recovered a fourth bullet from the crime scene.

The Special Investigating Team probing the death of Geetanjali Garg,the wife of Gurgaon’s Chief Judicial Magistrate,has recovered a fourth bullet from the crime scene.

“A fourth bullet was found in Police Lines within 25 metres from where Geetanjali’s body was found. The revolver found at the crime scene and the bullets recovered have been sent to forensic laboratory in Madhuban,Karnal”,Assistant Commissioner of Police (Udyog) Ashok Bakshi said.

The CBI (Delhi) DSP Anil Yadav visited the crime scene on Saturday. The CBI is yet to formally take over the investigation,a senior police officer said.

A new team,led by Dr Sanjay Narula,Dr Datarwal and Dr Dogra,has been formed to conduct the forensic examination in the case.

Geetanjali’s family members,including her father Omprakash Agrawal and brother Pradeep,held a protest at Jantar Mantar to demand justice for Geetanjali.

Police questioned the CJM and his parents,K K Garg and Rachna Garg,after Geetanjali’s brother filed an FIR in the case. He later filed a supplementary complaint,alleging that Geetanjali was being harassed.
