New Delhi:The Delhi High Court on Friday directed the Delhi government to issue by August 31 a notification to divide the national capital into nine separate metropolitan areas to deal with criminal cases. The court set the deadline for the government to implement the judgment of the Supreme Court on a PIL by the Dwarka Court Bar Association. It had filed the PIL seeking a direction to government to issue a notification for dividing Delhi into nine separate metropolitan areas.

Three ultrasound centres sealed

New Delhi:Revenue and Health department officials of the Delhi government conducted raids in five diagnostic and health care centres in Southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh area. Three of them were sealed on Friday for irregularities in record maintenance. “The three centres — Unistar Health Care at Roshanpura Extension,Unique Health Care at Old Roshanpura,and the Doctors Diagnostic centre at Ward No. 1in Najafgarh — were sealed,” a senior official said.

UP finalises Metro funding pattern

Lucknow:The Uttar Pradesh government has finalised the funding pattern of its share of Rs 991 crore in Rs 1591 crore Ghaziabad Metro project — from Dilshad Garden in East Delhi to New Bus Stand in Ghaziabad. A UP government official today said the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will be the nodal agency in the project and contribute Rs 466 crore. UP Housing and Development Board (UPHDB) will contribute Rs 295 crore while Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation and UP State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) will contribute Rs 165 crore and Rs 65 crore respectively.
