A 35-year-old man was killed and his wife and son injured in an accident on the Yamuna Expressway near the Jhewar Toll Plaza on Friday.
According to police,Rahul Singhal (35),a businessman from Pitampura, died while his wife Misha (32) and son Akshat (7) sustained injuries.

Misha Singhal has been declared out of danger but Akshat has been admitted to the ICU of Balaji Action Hospital in Paschim Vihar in Delhi and is said to be critical. The fatality is the first on the Yamuna Expressway which was inaugurated on August 9.
Police said Singhal and his family had gone to Agra two days ago to see the Taj Mahal.
The incident took place around 11.30 pm on Friday. Singhal was driving the Maruti Zen. Around 35 km from Greater Noida,a truck took him by surprise. He swerved towards the right to avoid it and hit the divider. The car turned turtle and the top part ripped open. We are yet to ascertain if the car was going over the prescribed speed limit at the time of the incident. It is possible that he couldnt see the truck because it was dark or had dozed off, police said.
The first responders to the accident were medical teams set up by the Jaypee group, expressway officials said.
The teams managed to extricate the family from the car and took them to the First Aid Centre at Jhewar toll plaza. Singhal died on the way to the Centre but his family was treated there and then moved to Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, an expressway official said.
Singhal ran a novelty parts factory in Shastri Nagar.
