Two women including an advocate were allegedly molested and manhandled by staff of National Sports Club of India (NSCI) situated near the Supreme Court in Tilak Marg area Wednesday night, said police.

The advocate’s father, who is a member of the club, alleged he too was manhandled following an argument over settling a bill, said sources.

A case has been registered in this connection at Tilak Marg police station, said Jatin Narwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi district), Thursday.

Investigation has revealed the advocate’s father, a businessman, had organised a party at the club, said a police officer.

“The incident took place after the party ended and the advocate’s relatives were about to leave the place. They were stopped by the club’s office-bearers, who pointed out the bill had not been completely settled. The advocate’s father said he would pay the balance amount the next morning. Apparently, an argument
broke out and the club staff reportedly closed all the gates. Later, it turned into scuffle,” added the officer.

The advocate made a PCR call at about 12.30 am and informed the police about the brawl.

“The businessman has alleged the club’s staff misbehaved with his daughter and manhandled him over the payment issue,” said the officer.
