NEW DELHI: Two persons,including a 60-year-old woman,were killed in separate road incidents in the Capital. According to police,Kuberna (60) was walking back home around 11 pm on Friday when she was crushed by a four-wheeler near Mayapuri Chowk in West Delhi. She was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital,where she was declared dead on arrival. Passersby nabbed the driver and handed him over to police. A case has been registered against him,police said. In another incident,19-year-old Deepak Sahu was killed and his friend Sadanand injured after their bike was rammed by a car in Begumpur,Outer Delhi,on Friday night. They were taken to a nearby hospital,where Sahu was declared dead on arrival. Sadanand’s condition is critical. A case of hit-and-run has been registered.
Project launched to digitise land records
NEW DELHI: Delhi government on Saturday launched a pilot project to digitise land records of a village in Southwest district. This project will gradually be implemented in other villages of Delhi. Inaugurated by Chief Secretary P K Tripathi,the project will be implemented in Kharkhari Nahar village in Najafgarh. Under this project,all records will be inducted through the Indraprastha Bhulekh or Delhi Land Records computerisation software and the tehsildar can make any modifications through this software.
