A non-resident Indian (NRI) has been asked by a Delhi court to pay an alimony of Rs 33,000 a month to his estranged wife living here.

New Delhi:A non-resident Indian (NRI) has been asked by a Delhi court to pay an alimony of Rs 33,000 a month to his estranged wife living here. Additional Sessions Judge Ila Rawat ordered Puneet Arora,residing in Canada with his parents and sister,to pay maintenance to his wife from January 2010 when she had moved the court for the alimony.

N-E girl alleges rape bid,three arrested

New Delhi:Police have arrested three men for allegedly abducting and then attempting to rape a girl from the North-East in South Delhi. The men allegedly abducted the girl when was coming out of a popular South Delhi pub on Thursday night and then dumped her in Hauz Khas a couple of hours later,police said,adding they took away her mobile phone. A case of abduction and attempt to rape has been registered.

Men fire in air after pub fight: Cops

New Delhi:Two men were allegedly thrown out of a Connaught Place-based prominent hotel’s pub when they picked up a fight with other guests,police said. They fired thrice in the air before fleeing,Additional CP (New Delhi) K C Dwivedi said. Sources said the men fought over a girl.
