Body of Norwegian found in hotel room

New Delhi:A 21-year-old Norwegian national was found dead in a hotel room in Central Delhi’s Navi Karim area on Thursday afternoon. Identified as Valentino Raffaello,he had checked into Roma Deluxe Hotel at 6 am on Wednesday morning. The hotel staff told police Raffaello was last seen at 8.30 pm on Wednesday night. Police said it appeared to be a case of suicide.

Govt hospitals told to re-open swine flu wards

New Delhi:The Delhi government on Thursday sent an e-mail notification to all its hospitals,directing the re-opening of swine flu wards and screening centres in government hospitals. The advisory,signed by surveillance officer Dr Charan Singh,said,“It has become mandatory for us to activate the screening centres and designated wards in all the hospitals.” The Health department has also asked government hospitals to provide records of their stocks in the swine flu units,“at top priority”,including details on the “status of Tamiflu,total number of tablets with date of expiry,and expired tablets,status of three layered mask,personal protection equipment kits,etc”.

DTC buses to ply from 4 am on MCD poll day

New Delhi:Keeping in view the upcoming MCD elections,the Delhi Transport Corporation has decided to run its services early on the day of polling. The service will begin at 4 am on Sunday. This service is being arranged on the request of the State Election Commission. The early morning bus service will be operated on 40 bus routes including mudrikas.
