Businessman killed by robbers
New Delhi:
Owner of a steel factory,Anil Kumar (47),was shot dead when he tried to resist a robbery by five masked assailants in Wazirpur,Northwest Delhi,on Saturday. One of the assailants was also reportedly injured in the incident. The police said the accused escaped with Rs 10 lakh.

Cash van theft: Cops release photos
New Delhi:
The Delhi Police,on Saturday,released photographs of the two accused in the Southeast Delhi cash van theft case,reported on Friday afternoon. The security company,based in West Delhi,has also announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for any clues leading to arrest.

Five auto-lifters arrested
New Delhi:
Five auto-lifters were arrested on Friday and four stolen cars,four motorcycles and one scooter were recovered from them.The accused have been identified as Pradeep (22),Virendra (23) Dharam Raj (35),Girish Yadav (18),and Harish Chauhan (25).

15 affected in Faridabad ‘gas leak’
New Delhi:
An under-construction chemical factory at Faridabad reported a chlorine gas leak on Friday night,in which 15 residents of Hirapur were affected. Of the eight factory workers present,two have been hospitalised and are reported to be in a critical condition.

Two arrested for gangrape
Two men were arrested on Saturday for gangraping a 24-year-old in a moving car in Ghaziabad on January 23. Accused have been identified as Bobby and Sunil.

45 cases settled at Lok Adalat
New Delhi:
The Lok Adalat,organised by the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee on Saturday,saw more than 45 pending matters getting settled conclusively. The litigants involved in the case,relating to motor accidents and labour disputes,were given over Rs 57 lakh as claims.

Fight between docs,patient’s kin
New Delhi:
A fight broke out between doctors,medical students and a patient’s relatives at GTB Hospital on Saturday,with the patient’s relatives alleging negligence on part of the doctors while treating a 42-year-old heart patient,who died around 6 am.
