Over 650 allottees of the DDA Housing Scheme,2010,who were allotted flats in Ganga Block of the Vasant Kunj complex and some blocks in Dwarka Sector-18,might have to wait till the end of this year to get possession.
The Delhi Development Authority claims that completion of these flats will take another six months, and the demand-cum-allotment letters will be issued thereafter.
The letters for the rest of the flats have reportedly been issued, but possession of those flats will also take another three to four months, claimed officials.
Around 484 flats in Ganga Block in Vasant Kunj,D-6,and 217 flats in Block G2,E1 and F1,Dwarka Sector-18-B,will be completed within a period of six months and demand-cum-allotment letters will be issued accordingly. The fact that these flats were under construction was mentioned in the brochure, said a DDA official.
A total of 16,000 flats were put up for allotment, and the draw of lots for these flats took place in April,2011.
According to the land agency, verification of all 16,000 allottees led to delay in issuing the letters.
Demand-cum-allotment letters for flats located in areas like Mukherjee Nagar,Motia Khan,Jasola Sector 9A,Kalyan Vihar have already been issued, said a DDA official.
After the allottees receive the demand letter,a period of 90 days will be given to them to submit relevant documents and make payments. As per the process, the physical handing over of the flats will take place after all the documents are submitted and payments are made by the allottees. This process will take around 60 days, the official said.
