Agents forge signatures of MPs,held

Two persons were arrested from Sangam Vihar in Southeast Delhi on Thursday for allegedly forging letterheads and signatures of MPs to book railway tickets .

Two persons were arrested from Sangam Vihar in Southeast Delhi on Thursday for allegedly forging letterheads and signatures of MPs to book railway tickets .

Devender Kumar (31),who is an NDMC contractor,and computer operator Nagesh Kumar (32) had been doing this for the past eight months,police said.

“Devender used to frequent an MP’s house and stole letterheads from there. He took Nagesh’s help to make copies of the letterheads,” DCP (Crime and Railways) Sanjay Kumar Jain said.

“They charged between Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 per ticket for confirmed reservations,” he said. Police recovered forged letterheads of several MPs,official seals of SBI and colleges of Delhi University from Devender’s home.
